A routine health check is a separate route from treatment for an existing condition. Compare health checkup packages, or learn about an optional specialist records review before travel.

A clear path to care in China

First assess. Then plan. Travel with clarity.

Start with your medical records, not a booking. We help you decide whether hospital review in China is reasonable, then coordinate only the support your situation actually needs.

Step 01 · Assess before you travel

Not sure whether care in China is right for you? Start with a case review.

For a non-urgent case, send the records you already have before booking travel. If the condition is urgent, unstable or needs immediate examination, seek local medical care first.

Our team organises the records and hospital communication. Clinical opinions and treatment recommendations come from the participating hospital specialist or multidisciplinary team.

Step 02 · Plan hospital care

If you decide to come, who arranges the hospital?

Once prior review indicates that an in-person visit may be useful, we coordinate the practical route without presenting coordination fees as hospital charges.

Ask about my case

This guide supports care and travel planning; it is not a medical assessment. The treating hospital or licensed clinician decides whether an appointment, admission, treatment or procedure is medically appropriate after reviewing the case.

Explore treatment in China by specialty

Each specialty opens a structured procedure library and a sourced national hospital ranking reference. Choose the department closest to the diagnosis or treatment being considered.

Looking for a condition that isn’t listed?
The specialties shown above reflect common international enquiries, not the limits of our hospital network. If a condition is not listed, send the available records and we can check whether a suitable pathway exists in China.

How we use rankings and shortlist hospitals

A published department ranking is useful context, but it is not a ranking for every procedure and it cannot choose a hospital for an individual patient. We keep those distinctions visible.

1

Department ranking

Published Fudan specialty reputation data provides a sourced national reference for the department.

2

Procedure-level fit

A hospital’s overall department position does not automatically make it the strongest choice for every subspecialty or procedure.

3

Documented capability

Public department information, specialist teams, relevant technology and stated clinical focus help refine the shortlist.

4

Practical access

The hospital still needs to review the case, accept the patient and confirm whether an international pathway is available.

Independent coordinationWe are not a hospital and do not publish our own unsupported procedure rankings.
Separate paymentsHospital charges are paid to the hospital; coordination, translation or companion services are quoted separately.
Clinical decisions stay clinicalThe treating hospital decides whether to accept the case and what medical plan, if any, is appropriate.
Before you book

Questions before travelling to China for medical care

Clear answers at the planning stage can prevent avoidable travel, incomplete hospital reviews and unexpected costs later in the journey.

What medical records should I prepare?

Start with a short case summary, the current diagnosis, recent consultation and test reports, relevant imaging files, pathology reports where applicable, and a current medication list. The hospital may request additional material after its first review.

When should I book flights and accommodation?

Wait until the hospital has reviewed the available records and provided a provisional appointment or admission window. A requested doctor, date or procedure should not be treated as confirmed until the hospital confirms it.

Can the final cost be confirmed before I travel?

A hospital may provide an estimate based on the information available. The final bill can change if additional examinations, different implants or materials, a longer stay, or an altered treatment plan becomes necessary.

Who do I pay for hospital and coordination services?

Hospital consultation, testing, treatment and admission charges are paid to the hospital. Coordination, document preparation, translation or companion services should be listed separately so the two types of cost are not confused.

Do I need an interpreter throughout my stay?

An in-person interpreter is usually most valuable on the main outpatient day and during important clinical discussions. Translation apps may help with routine inpatient requests, but should not be relied on for consent, medication, procedures, discharge instructions or emergencies.

What if the hospital says I am not suitable to travel or be treated?

Do not travel without an accepted pathway. The hospital may request more records, direct the case to another department, or advise that care should continue locally. For urgent symptoms, use local emergency services rather than waiting for an international arrangement.

Start with your situation

Tell us about your case

You do not need to know the right department or hospital before contacting us. A short, accurate summary is enough for the first step.

  1. 1We review what you are looking for and identify the most relevant service route.
  2. 2We let you know which medical records or reports are useful for the next review.
  3. 3Before travel, the relevant hospital still needs to review the case and confirm access.
For your privacy: do not include passport numbers, payment details or full medical files in this first message. We will explain the appropriate next step for sharing records after we reply.

Initial case enquiry

Only your email is required. Add as much or as little detail as you are comfortable sharing.

Shanghai is our usual starting recommendation when you are not tied to a particular hospital or specialist. You can also type any other city.

Please send only what is needed for this first enquiry. You can withdraw consent later, although we may then be unable to continue the requested service.
